Good morning readers, the United States has been one of the leading markets for indoor vertical farms by amounts invested, sizes of new indoor vertical farms as well as the number of partnerships recorded since the beginning of the year. Companies of all sizes and nationalities have been active in the country, leveraging the market’s size and recent growing dynamics to expand their position.
Local Bounti’s acquisition of Pete’s®, AeroFarms opening the world’s largest aeroponic vertical farm, Bowery Farming’s partnership with Unfold, Scotland-based Intelligent Growth Solutions work with CubicAcres, InFarm’s expansion with their recent facility in Maryland, Iron Ox’s new facility in Texas or AppHarvest fourth and fifth facilities are all examples of the activity the country is experiencing.
